Butter coconut prawns are crispy and fragrant mildly spiced where fried prawns are tossed in butter with garlic, curry leaves and with the toasted coconut that enhance the taste and crunch to the dish..If you are seafood lover you will definitely love this dish
It’s a Malaysian recipe..a very easy to make recipe with prawns if you live prawns then you should not miss making this ….My family is a prawn lovers they live whether its in biriyani , curry , roast even in fried forms… so I always search for variety of prawn recipes… each cuisines have their own way of making the dish … I came across this in a malay based food blog nyonyacooking…. on seeing the picture itself I decided that this I will try it soon… actually I have tried this many times in my home but I wanted to share with you all with the video so that’s why it took this time…
Here dedicated coconut is used or you can also try with freshly grated one if above one not available…I would say the main flavour and aroma to the dish is from the roasted coconut added…next comes the aroma of curryleaves ..recipe called for the bird’s eye chilli which add spiciness to dish as I dint get it this time I tried with our chillies but you need to increase the amount sccordingly… recipe also calls for the use of soy sauce its completely optional. I have tried with both ways with and without .. nothing much difference..In the video I haven’t mentioned about the soy sauce..
I have also tried rolling it in a roti / chapathi with dash of mayonaise spread .it was it was yumm…. two rolls ready and dinner sorted… Hope you all liked this recipe and will give a try and send me pictures.
